There is more to a woman than her two breasts. We say that, we know this, but do we truly believe it? What happens when we take everything away? First the hair, then the boobs. Ultimately degenerating the entire body in an attempt to destroy the cells that are working in overdrive in life.
Do you still feel like a woman when all the physical stereotypes are taken away? How do you look into the mirror, when the face you see doesn’t reflect you, but it is. How do you learn to accept or even love the person you have become?
This is my blog spot for my journey through breast cancer. I am sharing my personal experience because my diagnosis flung me into a tailspin and I frantically searched for resources that would help me look anywhere else, but down. I didn’t find a lot so I want to share. I want to keep it positive, but keep it real.

“I learned a long time ago that a person can stand just about anything for 10 seconds, then you just start on a new 10 seconds. All you’ve got to do is take it 10 seconds at a time.”– from the unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
“You can stand just about anything for 10 seconds- and sometimes things get unbearable. When those times come it’s important to keep in mind that it’s only temporary, and you will survive.”- Gillian Watts on pondering quotes from the Unbreakable Schmidt
